Comedytrain International Summer Festival: Fin Taylor & Pierre Novellie

Fin Taylor has made a name for himself as one of the most talked about comedians working in the UK. His successive Edinburgh shows Whitey McWhiteface and Lefty Tighty Righty Loosey were 5 star sell-out runs, and cemented his reputation as a fiercely funny and uncompromising social commentator. He went on to appear on Comedy Central’s Roast Battle and Live From the Comedy Store as well as making his own series for the Channel, Fin Taylor plays Bullshit Bingo.

‘Phenomenal…Taylor is on top of both his game and the zeitgeist’ – Chortle

‘achingly funny’ – The List

‘like the best stand-up: exceptionally thought-provoking and properly hilarious’ – The Skinny

‘Taylor lays siege to the complacency of his leftwing audience, but is so emphatic a comic- domineering, playful, high joke count- – it’s gripping to watch’ – The Guardian

Pierre Novellie was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1991 but moved to the Isle of Man when he was seven. He started performing comedy as a student in the Cambridge Footlights and since joining the UK’s professional circuit has won and been nominated for several awards. He runs a podcast called My Favourite Podcast and has written for television and radio.
This year it’s satire for people without a team. Pierre’s views don’t please anyone 100% of the time, so who exactly is his demographic? Other white South African Manxmen? When you feel alienated by life, mock it vigorously.

‘Dawn of a major talent’ – Guardian

‘Hilarious’ – Sunday Times

‘Very funny’ – Scotsman
